Please DO NOT USE without my permission! Thanks.

Costume: made by me
Model: me
Photography: Ed Nyman

This grey 14th century kirtle is made of 100% linen, and it is entirely hand-stitched. The self-fabric buttons on the sleeves were also handmade by me. The belt was hand-stitched of 100% cotton velvet (silk velvet was not available to me), and is based on extant French belts from the 14th century. The fittings are sourced from several suppliers. The veil is 100% linen with a hand-rolled hem.
The period veil pins were made for me by :icongretalinian:.
The shoes are black leather turnshoes, which I bought in Halifax.

I'm afraid I don't right now, no =( I would consider doing a commission if I wasn't in school and you were in the same city as me, but as it stands I'm afraid I can't D= However, I encourage you to try making your own! It's very enjoyable to do =)

I love it! The fact that you stitched it all by hand is super impressive too, and I love the setting for the photo!

=D Thank you so much! I was really lucky to find such a nice setting. Thanks so much for the comment - I like to look through photos of other reenactors' work for motivation while I stitch, and your blue and white part-coloured cotehardie is one of my favourites =)

Yay, I'm so glad I can help inspire! I also love looking at photos of other reenactors' work too, and your dresses are so beautiful! That blue cotehardie is probably about 5 years old now, but I still wear it all the time! I'm a big fan of 14th century garb. (:
One of my near-future reenacting projects is going to be a belt of similar style to what you are wearing here, and I'm so inspired by your wonderful work!

I love 14thC too! And 12th. And 16th. And 15th, now that you mention it...and Victorian...and...yeah, I have a problem =D I've accepted it ;)
The belt was really enjoyable to make - it was really fun to source all the findings and then there was a bit of trial-and-error to get them in, since I was using velvet instead of leather. I made sure I had references for everything and I'm really happy with the result. I think I would like to try casting my own pewter findings next time, though.

Haha! A woman after my own heart! My favorite in reenacting is late 14th-early 15thc., followed by the lovely fitted bliauts of the 12th c. But I also like to make everything, so I have done quite a lot of different periods. (: Victorian stuff is kind of what pushed me to incorporate historical influences into a modern fashion line, which is where I spend a lot of non-hobby time now.

May I ask where you found those findings? They look so awesome! I have been encouraged to try casting my own as well, but I may want to be lazy and buy some, haha!

I love alllllll the costumes. =D
The findings are from a variety of places - Armor and Castings in the Ukraine, Gaukler Medieval Wares in Vancouver, and Raymond's Quietpress in the States somewhere. I recommend all three - the stuff from the Ukraine took a while to get here, understandably, but it was lovely and the selection was massive, and the pack of cross fleury mounts from Gaukler was insanely cheap for the beautiful little pieces they were. Quietpress has tons of cool stuff as well, if you can stand their somewhat outdated website. Make sure you measure carefully to ensure that all of the pieces fit the same size of belt, because there doesn't seem to be any sort of universal set of common measurements, haha.

The gown is gorgeous. I love the setting you chose for this piece. And your characterization of a 14th C French Noblewoman is perfection.

Ahhh, thank you so much! =D I was really lucky to find such a location in Toronto - we're not exactly swimming in medieval sites ;)
