I spent all summer making this cosplay of Stephanie Brown/Batgirl from the DC Comics Universe. The costume consists of a double-layered suit with detachable cape (which has wires in it to allow for extension past my own reach), a cowl, hip belt and thigh belt, arm guards, gloves, and leg guards. The only thing I am wearing in this photo that I did not make is my boots, which are mostly hidden under the leg-guards. I also drafted all the patterns myself.

This costume was first worn at FanExpo Toronto back in August, and this photoshoot took place in November. It was freezing and snowing, as you can see in some of the photos, but we managed to get some good shots! The costume itself is actually fairly warm, with the layer of sports mesh on the inside of the suit and the spandex and polyurethane outside, and the triple-layer spandex, foam, and neoprene arm guards and leg guards.
